About me
Nice to meet you, I'm Gabi, your English teacher.
I've always been passionate about English. Today it's been more than 12 years of making dreams come true in the classroom and learning from my students every day, building bonds that go far beyond teacher and student and last for years.

My story
From my first course at 12 to my own classes
Since I was little
In love with studying
Studying has always been my passion: since I learned to read and write at 5, I wanted to do homework or go to school every single day (haha!).
At 12
Love at first sight
My parents signed me up for an English course. It was love at first sight, and I never stopped studying.
2014
My first class
At 18, the owner of the school invited me to teach the beginner levels and children. That is how my journey in the classroom began.
2014
Three months at Disney
That same year, I passed the selection process to work at Disney and spent 3 months in the land of magic. That is where I fully unlocked the most widely spoken language in the world and gained confidence in English as a whole.
And a few magical friends along the way:

Mickey
Goofy
Donald Duck
Stitch
Tinker Bell
Back in Brazil
Advanced levels and every age
When I came back, I took over the advanced levels at the school. Since then I have taught every audience, from children to students over 60.
Today
Teaching future teachers
Today I also run courses for people who want to become English teachers. I speak Spanish, I am learning French and I keep improving, with international certifications in language teaching.
How I teach
What I believe about learning English
All 4 skills, together
A language is learned naturally, by working on all 4 skills at once. In every class I bring practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Small wins, a long way
Learning a language is a long-term process, but it gets much lighter when every small win is celebrated. Step by step, before you know it, you have come a long way.
70% is up to you
I always say 70% of learning depends on the student. I am here as a facilitator, ready to give everything, but results come from both sides putting in the effort.
In short
- 12+ years in the classroom
- 3 months working at Disney (2014)
- From children to students over 60
- Trains new English teachers
- Speaks English and Spanish, learning French
- International certifications in language teaching
Learning is never too much, and it will always be a new challenge.
